I was born in Lamar, Colorado in 1963 and grew up in Woodland Park through my third year in high school. We moved to Montrose where I graduated high school and later met and married LeEllen in 1983. A year later we moved to Phoenix, Arizona. We have two sons, Quaid and Kegan; and Quaid and his wife Natalie have given us two grandsons, Cameron and Anthony.
I've been doing leatherwork since I was 13 years old and learned saddle making in 1998 while working for Blue Ribbon Custom Tack in Phoenix. I first started tooling leather by doing mostly floral patterns and then I started doing pictorial carvings, which was a new challenge that I enjoyed. Mixing floral patterns with pictorial carvings keeps it interesting for me. In 2007 I went to GRS silver engraving school so I could also do my own silver work on my leatherwork.
Today I have my own saddle shop out of my home, Casey Jordan Saddles & Leather. I specialize in historical miniature saddles and full sized collectable and/or themed saddles. I enjoy doing custom work that is unique and original, one-of-a-kind pieces.
Awards: 2009 "Art of the Cowboy Makers" Champion Saddle Maker, and People's Choice Saddle Maker
